Drug and Alcohol Treatment Program

House of Metamorphosis (HOM) is a Residential Drug and Alcohol Treatment Program in San Diego, California. Our treatment provides behavior modification for men and women in a therapeutic community setting. HOM was established to be a guiding light to its residents, to show how it is possible to live “drug-free” in society and how to cope with everyday problems.

Metamorphosis, which means transformation in appearance, character, condition, or function, is the purpose and goal of our rehabilitation program.

House of Metamorphosis is one of the leading therapeutic treatment centers in San Diego County, with a capacity to house up to 64 residents in our main facility, called the “Main House.”

House of Metamorphosis (HOM) provides twenty-four hour, long-term, residential alcohol and other drug treatment services to the community. HOM is committed to providing substance abuse treatment services to a large diverse population.

Monies raised by House of Metamorphosis helps to ensure each client an opportunity to live a healthy, alcohol and drug-free lifestyle. Primary sources of revenue include support from the State of California and donations from individuals.

The House of Metamorphosis (HOM), in accordance with applicable Federal and State Law and HOM’s nondiscrimination policies, does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex (including sexual harassment), gender identity, disability, age, ancestry, marital status, citizenship, sexual orientation, or status as a Vietnam-era veteran or other covered veteran. This nondiscrimination policy covers applications and intakes, access, and treatment in HOM’s programs and activities. It also covers counselors, administrative staff, managerial staff, and volunteers in their employment.

Phases of the Program

The entire 3-month program is divided into four (4) phases – it’s like setting yourself four (4) short term goals that are reachable. Before you know it, you will have successfully completed all four (4) phases and are ready to graduate!

Phase I: Orientation

Phase III: Gray Area

30 days Employment preparation
(including job training or school) followed by employment

Phase IV: Re-Entry

15 days
A warm hand-off is established with outpatient treatment. Once all stages of treatment are completed

This program is your program. It encourages your active participation and input and asks you to make good decisions regarding your treatment.

Residential treatment programs like ours remove negative influences and help you to adjust to living a drug and alcohol-free lifestyle and develop necessary skills to sustain your recovery. The longer negative influences are removed from your environment, including the availability of drugs and alcohol, and the more time you have to learn and adjust, the higher the probability of your success.
